Fancy sightseeing in Oldenburg? The landmark is the Lappan – today the tourist information office and the ideal starting point for your city exploration. Most of the sights are within easy walking distance from here. Directly on the Rathausmarkt, you will come across St. Lamberti Church, the Degodehaus and the Old Town Hall with its unusual triangular floor plan. Just behind it is the former residential palace with its impressive facade. No wonder it is one of the most popular photo motifs. Oldenburg’s parks and gardens are also worth seeing. A stroll through the palace gardens should therefore definitely be on your to-do list when visiting the city. If the weather is less cooperative, we recommend a visit to the museum.
