What’s the weather like in Bremerhaven?

What are the rules of the road in Bremerhaven?

Right-hand traffic prevails in Germany. The normal speed limit within cities is 50 km/h. Inside city limits, there can be some inner residential areas where speed limits are reduced to 30 km/h or walking speed. Seatbelts are mandatory for all passengers.

The entire luggage will be screened in our security area.

Is a shuttle service available at the port?

BREMERHAVEN BUS takes you to us in a relaxed manner. A bus with the destination “Kreuzfahrt-Terminal” is waiting for you directly in front of the main station. Tickets are available from the driver. For TUI departures, the shuttle is offered via TUI Cruises.

Is parking available at the port?

BCP has its own two long-term parking areas:
1. P1 directly in front of the terminal building, entrance through a barrier system, additionally staffed on ship arrival days.
2. P3 about 500 meters away on foot, this area is fenced in and only open on ship arrival days and only staffed then.

We recommend booking in advance. Further information and the booking option can be found under the “Parking” tab.

Short-term parking spaces are available in front of the terminal building. Please take a ticket at the barrier when you enter. 20 minutes are free of charge. Parking fees must be paid at the parking machine in the main entrance area of the terminal.

What transportation options available to and from the port?

BREMERHAVEN BUS takes you to us in a relaxed manner. A bus with the destination “Kreuzfahrt-Terminal” is waiting for you directly in front of the main station. Tickets are available from the driver. For the return journey, the bus shuttle is waiting for you directly at the terminal.
Taxi/Cab: A taxi/cab rank is located directly in front of the main entrance to the terminal building.

Can my family and friends come to see me off on my cruise?

Yes, this is possible. The cruise terminal visitor gallery is open on departure days from 8:00 a.m. until 30 minutes after ship departure. Access is via Steubenstraße 7. There are plenty of parking spaces available.

Is assistance available for passengers with disabilities?

Wheelchairs are available for use within the terminal building. Please contact us at Counter 1 ground floor. The Terminal and other areas include facilities for physically-challenged persons including ramps and toilet facilities. If you are in need of any assistance please make sure you contact the reservation centre of your cruise line in advance to arrange for a wheelchair service to be available for your use.

Is Wi-Fi available at the cruise port?

Yes, there is a public Wi-Fi.
